How does angel investing differ from other forms of investment, such as venture capital?

Generally, angel investors do not invest in deals greater than $1 million whereas venture capital firms typically are not looking at deals under this amount. Entrepreneurs often expect that an angel will be more involved in the business and may provide assistance in ways that venture capital firms do not. Angels also do not typically own as large a stake in the company as a venture capital firm would.

What sorts of returns on investment is expected by Hunter Angels?

This is very dependent on the situation, size of investment, size of company, industry trends, etc. However, it is estimated that our angel investment returns will be in the range of 40-50% return on investment (ROI). Some prove to be less but they are sometimes much, much more.

What do you mean my mentor capital?

Mentorship refers to a developmental relationship in which a more experienced or more knowledgeable person helps a less experienced or less knowledgeable person. Hunter Angels provide capital that is tied to mentorship. Entrepreneurs who might see Hunter Angels merely as a source of capital need not apply. Accessing the collective experience and wisdom of the Hunter Angels may well exceed the value of the capital alone.

As an entrepreneur what is expected of me?

The fundamental requirement is to be a team player. For some entrepreneurs this can be a challenge. The entrepreneur will need to listen and act on the advice of Hunter Angels. The entrepreneur will also report to an on-line monthly scorecard comprising key performance indicators and targets and milestones that will drive the business towards agreed objectives. Objectives clearly agreed to by both Hunter Angels and the entrepreneur and/or management team.
